After two years since its announcement, the highly anticipated Witch on the Holy Night anime movie adaptation produced by ufotable has unveiled a second teaser trailer. While there are still many unknown details about the movie, the latest teaser offers a glimpse of the main heroines' character designs and showcases the formidable combat abilities of the co-female protagonist, Aoko Aozaki.

Witch on the Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru) is an anime adaptation of the visual novel created by Type-Moon. Originally released for PC in Japan in 2012, a fully voiced, full HD version was subsequently launched for Nintendo Switch and PS4 in December 2022. It later became available on Steam on December 14, 2023.

Following in the footsteps of titles like Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime, Witch on the Holy Night is the newest Type-Moon visual novel to be adapted into an anime. Aoko, who has appeared in Tsukihime, as well as other Type-Moon-related works such as the Carnival Phantasm anime parody and the Fate/EXTRA video game, takes center stage. Additionally, Touko Aozaki, Aoko's sister, plays a prominent role in The Garden of Sinners light novel series, which has been adapted into a series of anime films.

The cast of the visual novel includes Haruka Tomatsu as Aoko, Kana Hanazawa as Alice Kuonji, Yuusuke Kobayashi as Sojuro Shizuki, and Ruriko Aoki as Touko.
