Just hours before the sixth episode, which kicks off the "Culture Festival Arc," the ongoing anime series Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki: 2nd Stage has unveiled a new trailer.

The series started airing on January 3 and is streaming on Crunchyroll and Bilibili. It is the follow-up to 2021’s Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki, a high school drama which Crunchyroll describes as:

With no written rules, the real world is hard for gamer Tomozaki Fumiya, but he’s about to get experience he needs from a seasoned player.

The main cast includes:

• Gen Satou as Fumiya Tomozaki
• Hisako Kanemoto as Aoi Hinami
• Ikumi Hasegawa as Minami Nanami
• Ai Kayano as Fuuka Kikuchi
• Ryouko Maekawa as Hanabi Natsubayashi
• Nene Hieda as Yuzu Izumi

The anime is an adaptation of a light novel series written by Yuuki Yaku and illustrated by Fly, published by Shogakukan under the Gagaga Bunko label starting in 2016. The English version of the novels is published by Yen Press. As of January 2024, there are 11 main volumes (plus two short story collections). Additionally, there is a manga adaptation by Eito Chida and a spin-off manga centered around Minami Nanami, one of the main heroines in the series, by Bana Yoshida.
