Character trailers for the upcoming anime Blue Archive The Animation, scheduled for April, have started to be released. The initial trailer introduces Shiroko (voiced by Yui Ogura), the field captain of the Countermeasures Committee at Abydos High School.

Shiroko is known for her stoic and reserved demeanor, as evident in the trailer. However, beneath her seemingly detached exterior, she holds a deep affection for her school and is willing to go to great lengths to revive it, occasionally coming up with unconventional ideas.

The anime production team includes director Daigo Yamagishi (Show By Rock!! Blue Archive The Animation is based on the free-to-play “Youth x Academy x Military RPG” Blue Archive, which Google Play describes as:

You have been appointed as an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club, Schale, located in Kivotos. It’s a huge academy city where numerous academies are clustered together.

Resolve the endless incidents that occur in Kivotos with charming allies full of personality, and build special memories with them!

The anime centers around Abydos High School, which faces the threat of closure due to its sandy environment. The narrative unfolds as the five members of the school's Countermeasures Committee encounter an adult referred to as "Sensei."

The game, developed by NEXON Games, was launched in Japan in February 2021 for iOS and Android devices. Yostar Inc. is responsible for distributing the game in Japan, while NEXON Company serves as the global publisher. Blue Archive has a collection of animated promotional videos.
