Yostar's free-to-play mobile game, Mahjong Soul, recently announced through its official website and Twitter account that a new anime series called Mahjong Soul Kan!! is scheduled to premiere in April 2024.

A 40-second teaser PV trailer and a key visual showcasing all 14 Jyanshi characters have been unveiled.

Mahjong Soul Kan!! will be streamed on Mahjong Soul's official social media platforms, including YouTube, X, and Facebook. This anime series is the franchise's second animated adaptation, following the 12-episode series Mahjong Soul Pon☆ in 2022, which was licensed by Crunchyroll.

The production team for Mahjong Soul Kan!! consists of Kazuomi Koga (known for Tenpuru, The Dreaming Boy is a Realist) as the director and screenwriter, Ayumi Kurokawa (City Hunter: The Movie – Shinjuku Private Eyes) as the character designer, and Hinako Tsubakiyama from Dream Monster (credited for works like Shy and Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) as the music composer. The animation is produced by Alke, with Cat Food Studio listed as the original creators.

Other notable staff members involved in the production of Mahjong Soul Kan!! include Noriko Tsutsui from Studio Aqua as the art director and art designer, Yuusuke Watanabe from Studio Elle (known for Gibiate) as the color designer, Tetsuya Nishimura (who worked on The Aristocrat's Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far) as the photography director, and Chikako Yokota (credited for Chained Soldier) as the sound director.
