The upcoming second season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles has received a small promotional/info dump, which includes a teaser trailer and a key visual for its “The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc.”. New key visual, additional cast, and more announced for the January 2024 return. 

The info part of the equation comes in the form of new cast members who will debut with the new arc and opening song details (both are previewed in the trailer). The former includes:

• Junichi Suwabe as Ryoh Grantz
• Yuuki Ono as Orter Mádl 
• Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kaido Gehenna
• Kishou Taniyama as Renatus Revol
• Tomori Kusunoki as Tsurara Halestone
• Saori Hayami as Sophina Biblia
• Yuuki Kaji as Rayne Ames

The opening song for Mashle Season 2 will be performed by Creepy Nuts. Its title is “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born.”

Based on the manga by Hajime Komoto, Tomoya Tanaka directs the MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES TV anime at animation studio A-1 Pictures. The series also features series composition by Yosuke Kuroda, chief character design by Hisashi Toujima, and music by Masaru Yokoyama. VIZ Media releases the English version of the manga. Mashle‘s first season began airing in Japan in April and ran for 12 episodes. The anime is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Hajime Komoto.

Viz Media describes MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES as: 

Mash just wants to live in peace with his father in the forest. But the only way he’ll ever be accepted in the magic realm is by attending magic school and becoming a Divine Visionary—an exceptional student revered as one the chosen. But without an ounce of magic to his name, Mash will have to punch his way to the top spot

The Mashle manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020 and ended in July of this year. It has been collected into 18 tankoubon volumes.

Tomoya Tanaka (Engage Kiss) is the director, Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia) is the series composer and scriptwriter, Hisashi Higashijima (Blue Lock chief action director) is the character designer, Saki Hisamatsu (Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2 dance part animation director) with Gotou Nozomi (Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2 dance part animation director) as a sub-character designer, ​​​​​​​ Takeshi Matsuda (Record of Grancrest War co-main animator) is action director, Masaru Yokoyama (Urusei Yatsura) is music composer, A-1 Pictures is animation production.
