The first THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors theatrical chapter is currently in theaters in Japan but it’s never too early to look forward to the next chapter. Today, a trailer for the second  THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors chapter was released today showing the emotional aspects of training to become an idol. 

The 30-second trailer showcases the main characters in the film, along with their respective voice actresses. 

The first theatrical chapter of THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors opened in Japan on October 27, and will be followed by the second on November 24, 2023 with finally the third on January 5, 2024. The three chapters will be airs as a TV anime in Spring 2024. 

Mankyuu (The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Theater) is directing the anime adaptation, with Takeshi Iwata (Levius CG supervisor et al.) as assistant director and CG director and Polygon Pictures as the animation production company. Other staff members include Susumu Sugai (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters co-CG director) as CG director, Youichi Katou (Duel Masters WIN) as series screenwriter, Ryouhei Fukushi (Kaina of the Great Snow Sea co-character designer) as character designer, and Lantis as the main music composers. 

Bandai Namco Entertainment's The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors browser game launched in April 2018. In the free-to-play game (with in-game purchases), players train idols and compete against other producers/players online in live concert performances. In addition to the game itself, the project spawned concert events, goods, CDs, and radio programs.

The game was released on the enza website in 2018 and on Android and iOS in 2019. It is part of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s The Idolmaster (stylized as THE iDOLM@STER) multimedia franchise, which began with a 2005 arcade game that was ported to the Xbox 360 in 2007. 

Another upcoming 3DCG anime titled The Idolmaster Million Live! began airing on October 8, 2023.
