Kinji Ninomiya has finally realized his dreams of living a self-sustaining NEET lifestyle after years of hard work. Kinji prepares to begin his new, slothful life by looking down on ordinary people commuting during a typhoon from the penthouse of one of his apartment buildings. All of his hard work, however, is undone when a portal appears beneath him seemingly out of nowhere. Kinji is teleported to another world and forced to work for a mining company that is solely concerned with profits and has no regard for the safety and well-being of its workers.
