The official website for Studio Ponoc's new anime feature film The Imaginary (known as Yaneura no Rudger in Japan) released two new trailers featuring the theme song "Nothing's Impossible" for the first time, along with a new visual. The film will premiere theatrically in Japan on December 15, 2023, and globally sometime in 2024. 

The theme song is performed by the American musical duo, A Great Big World alongside singer-songwriter Rachel Platten. A Great Big World won the 57th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performance (Duo/Group) for their song "Say Something" in 2015, while Platten won an Emmy Award in 2015 for her single "Fight Song."

The film’s main theme song “Nothing’s Impossible” was also revealed in the trailer, which is performed by musical duo A Great Big World, featuring singer Rachel Platten. 

Yoshiaki Nishimura is serving as the film’s producer, having previously produced Mary and The Witch’s Flower and the first volume of Modest Heroes: Ponoc Short Films Theatre. 

The Imaginary is based on A.F. Harrold and Emily Gravett‘s 2014 novel of the same name. The film was originally meant to be released in the summer of 2022, but was delayed for some time around March 2022. Yoshiyuki Momose — who worked as a main animator for many Studio Ghibli films, including Only Yesterday (1991), Pom Poko (1994), Princess Mononoke (1997), and Spirited Away (2001) — is attached to direct. He also previously directed "Life Ain't Gonna Lose," one episode of Studio Ponoc's short story anthology Modest Heroes (2018).
