Description

From 1965 until 1986 World Distributors held a license to produce Doctor Who Annuals. A few years after they let it lapse Marvel UK, who had long held the license for Doctor Who Magazine, took up the annual license, though they changed the name to the Doctor Who Yearbook to distinguish it from World Distributors' version. Each volume included features, comic strips and text stories. Marvel published five yearbooks between 1991 and 1995 (the 1992 to 1996 ones, dating a year ahead as was normal for British annuals). There would be a decade-long gap between the final Yearbook and the next Doctor Who Annual, this time published by Marvel UK's successor to the Doctor Who Magazine license, Panini.</p>
