2040 > Cadillac markets its first neural implant 2045 > Cadillac becomes a state independent of any country, where everyone dreams of living... Pad, a stubborn, heartbroken cop, desperately tries to prove that Cadillac stole a mysterious cargo that fell from the sky. Alice, a tomboyish teenager, wants more than anything to find her father, sent 15 years earlier on a mining exploration mission for Cadillac. Émilio, a little computer whiz, invents a wild story to flirt with Alice: he would be hunted for having hacked Cadillac's secret files, which would in reality be subject to an extraterrestrial power threatening the human race... These three will stand up, straws in the face of an all-powerful colossus, without being aware of the troubles into which they are throwing themselves headlong... But so much the better, because happy people don't make good stories anyway</p>
